Ambulatory Phlebectomy is the surgical treatment of varicose veins performed in the office setting. Utilizing local anesthesia, small punctures are made in the skin along the course of the bulging varicose veins. The veins are removed in small sections. There is no need for stitches and there is virtually no scarring. Post-operative discomfort is minimal, and a bandage and compression stockings are worn for 5-7 days.
